Burns' television career began in 1995, when she portrayed Peg, a character in the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns was a member of the Baywatch group in 1998. She then starred on Baywatch: Hawaii's second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy forced her to quit the show.
